<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual telephone data communication method, based on PKI (public-key-enciphered infrastructure system). <P>SOLUTION: A smart key which stores, at least, one of user identification data is connected to a visual telephone, while a connection procedure is being performed. The user identification data contain user ID codes, passwords, and private keys. While a download procedure is being performed, the user identification data are enciphered and transmitted to a service server to verify the user. Then, at least, one service provided by the service server is enciphered and downloaded to a visual telephone. After the service is deciphered, at least, the one service is performed in the visual telephone.
