PRINTING DEVICE AND CORRECTION DATA GENERATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing device for generating correction data highly precisely by eliminating influence from adjacent areas and measuring appropriate density.

SOLUTION: This method comprises steps of: setting a plurality of scanning coordinates SAx being a center position in a main scanning direction of the pixel line Q of a test chart; setting their crossing position with scanning coordinates SAy showing many positions in a subscanning direction of the pixel line Q as a scanning area SA; averaging the density data of the scanning area SA; generating the correction data; and updating a correction table according to the correction data.
