PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably display an image on a display device by transmitting a modulated signal from an imaging device to the display device, without increasing the reception errors. SOLUTION: In the imaging device 1, first, a modulation control part 15 controls a signal converting part 11 so as to change an image data thinning amount to an image photographed by an imaging part 10 by first an operation signal from an operating part 14, and controls the modulating part 12 so as to select a modulation system, on the basis of a data amount of the image signal. Next, the signal converting part 11 performs image data thinning processing of an image signal, based on the image picked up by the imaging part 10. The modulating part 12 digitally modulates the image signal from the signal converting part 11, and a transmission part 13 transmits the modulated signal to a receiving part 20. The display device 2 digitally demodulates the modulated signal received by the receiving part 20. A signal converting part 22 complements the image data of a thinned part, and a displaying part 23 displays the image photographed by the imaging part 10 of the imaging device 1.
