PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely achieve waterproof between a wire, a waterproof packing and a mounting side of connector housing etc., and to assemble with the mounting side with excellent ease of work and efficiency. SOLUTION: This waterproof packing comprises a core member 4 having a wire inserting part 9 inside and a contact part 13 corresponding to a mounting side 16 outside, respectively and a thermoplastic adhesive 5 adhered at least to the wire inserting part and the contact part. The waterproof packing 1 bonded to the wire 3 by heating the thermoplastic adhesive of the wire inserting part and bonded to the mounting side with the thermoplastic adhesive of the contact part is adopted. A core member 4 is divided from the wire inserting part 9. The water proof connector 24 provided with the waterproof packing 1, the connector housing 22 for inserting the wire 3 with a terminal and a packing housing part 16 of the connector housing which is the mounting side for inserting the waterproof packing is adopted.
