PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fired material having a high dielectric constant and high denseness by low temperature firing. SOLUTION: The lead-free and alkali-free glass comprises, by mol, 15-40% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 5-37% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 2-15% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1-25% of MgO+CaO+SrO, 0-7% MgO, 2-25% BaO, 0-35% ZnO, 3-15% TiO<SB>2</SB>, 0-10% of ZrO<SB>2</SB>+SnO<SB>2</SB>, 25-50% of SiO<SB>2</SB>+Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and 15-45% of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+ZnO. The glass-ceramic composition comprises, by mass, 30-70% of the powder of the glass and 30-70% of the powder of a Ba-Ti compound containing Ba and Ti in a molar ratio (Ti/Ba) of 3.0-5.7.
