DIAPER AND EXCRETION DETECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reliable excretion detecting means eliminating connecting work between a signal processor and a sensor in exchanging diapers for a diaper and an excretion detecting device which are economical and designed to know excretion of a person in need of care to reduce a burden on a caretaker. SOLUTION: A sensor part 2 for the excretion detecting device which is disposable without a power source (a battery) is mounted on the diaper 1. Preferably, the sensor part 2 is enclosed in an absorbent material enclosed between a permeable inner surface and an impermeable outer surface of the diaper 1. The sensor part 2 is equipped with an IC chip 2b, a sensor 2a connected to the IC chip, and an antenna 2c transmitting detected signals of the sensor. Electric power is supplied to the sensor part 2 without wires or from a battery adhered to the outer surface of the diaper. A receiver 3b receiving the detected signals of the sensor part 2 without wires to accumulate and process the signals and to determine and inform of the excretion is separated from the sensor part 2.
