COATING METHOD AND DECORATIVE PANEL PRODUCED USING SAID METHOD

The invention relates to a method of coating at least one upper face (3) and at least one contoured edge (5, 6) of a wooden, synthetic and/or composite decorative panel (1) with a decorative sheet (4). The inventive method is characterised in that it comprises the following steps consisting in: coating all or part of the upper face (3) with a urea-formaldehyde glue (C1); coating the contoured edge(s) (5, 6) with a different glue (C2), particularly of the polyurethane or polyvinyl acetate type; and applying the decorative sheet (4) on the upper face (6) and the contoured edges (5, 6), for example by means of lamination. The invention also relates to the decorative panel thus produced.
