Spiral guide vanes (13) are formed to the inner wall (15) of a compressor housing (10) and are symmetrical with respect to the housing axis (19). In operation, the guide vanes induce the fluid medium (M) flow in the housing with insignificant effects on medium high flow rates or high volume throughputs, as well as shift the flow direction of the medium with respect to the rotation direction of the compression rotor in the housing. An independent claim is also included for a supercharger.
