A backlight unit, and an LCD including the same are provided to supply uniform light to a central portion of an LCD panel by providing a reflective plate placed at rear surfaces of a pair of light sources and having a protruding reflective portion protruding along a space between the pair of light sources. A pair of light sources(40a,40b) are disposed to face each other, and have a band-shaped separation space(A) therebetween. A reflective plate(50) is placed at rear surfaces of the light sources, and has a protruding reflective portion(52) protruding along the separation space. The reflective protruding portion is provided integrally with the reflective plate. |
