The building is comprised of mixed elements of walls and slabs made of special steel parts and reinforced concrete. The fabricated elements are connected to each other with jointing components and bolts. Other secondary elements (pillars, gables, ornamental walls etc) are also fabricated and connected in the same way. The architectural ground plan of the floors is designed on a grid of predetermined pitch and two types of grid have been foreseen, the quadrangular and the rhomboidal. The basic characteristic of the method is the opening of holes on the slabs of the building, at points equivalent to the junctions of the design grid. Via these holes, the stable connection of all structural parts is achieved. For this purpose a certain mould has been designed, via which the opening of the holes is made at points that have been selected from the design (always at the points of the junctions). The mould constitutes the basic tool for the erection of a building according to the present construction system. |
