FLUORESCENT PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A fluorescent panel, and a display device having the same are provided to increase brightness of the display device by using visible light emitted from a color fluorescent layer and visible light reflected by a visible light reflective layer disposed under the color fluorescent layer for image display. A visible light reflective layer(226) is formed on a liquid crystal layer(230), passes non-visible light, and reflects the visible light. A fluorescent layer is formed on the reflective layer, is excited in response to the non-visible light passing through the visible light reflective layer to emit visible light, and passes visible light reflected by the visible light reflective layer. Transparent substrates(212,222) are interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the visible light reflective layer. A common electrode layer(224) is formed on the transparent substrate.
