An identical channel repeater and its method are provided to increase the use efficiency of limited frequency resources by relaying a signal whose distortion in a transmission channel has been compensated. An RF receiving unit(701) receives an RF signal from the outside. A down-converter(702) down-converts the RF signal into a signal of a desired band. An inverse channel estimating unit(703) estimates the inverse form of a reception channel from the down-converted signal. An adaptive filtering unit(704) compensates for channel distortion by using a filter having inverse information of the estimated reception channel. An up-converter(705) converts the channel distortion-compensated signal into an RF signal. A transmitter(706) transmits the up-converted RF signal.
