A system and a method for inputting a game in a portable terminal are provided to enable a game input value generator to generate a game input value corresponding to volume measured from a volume measuring circuit and to enable a controller to perform general control in order to realize the generated game input value in a game application program, thereby realizing various input effects in the game application program. A system for inputting a game in a portable terminal comprises the followings: a microphone(104) for receiving a voice of a user; a volume measuring circuit(106) for measuring the volume of the user voice inputted from the microphone(104); a game input value generator(108) for generating a game input value corresponding to the volume measured from the volume measuring circuit(106); and a controller(110) which performs general control in order to realize the game input value, generated from the game input value generator(108).
