ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

An array substrate and an LCD panel having the same are provided to improve side visibility and improve light transmittance by driving a main pixel and sub-pixels with different potential levels, and by removing a coupling capacitor for driving the main and sub pixels. Data lines(240) cross gate lines(210) to define unit pixel regions. A first switching unit is connected to a current gate line of the gate lines. A second switching unit is connected to the next gate line formed adjacent to the current gate line. A main electrode unit(410) receives a first data signal of a data line connected to the current gate line by a switching operation of the first switching unit. A first sub electrode unit(420) receives the first data signal simultaneously with the main electrode unit by the switching operation of the first switching unit. A second sub electrode unit(430) is connected to the first sub electrode unit by the switching operation of the second switching unit, and controls a potential level of the first data signal to form a second data signal.
