<p>A method and an apparatus for the treatment of organic slurry is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of separating the slurry into a solid and a liquid fraction and treating the liquid fraction using anoxic and aerobic microbial digestion process. The liquid fraction is filtered during the aerobic process. The apparatus comprises a reactor having two vessels one of which is for the anoxic process and the other is for the aerobic process. The vessels are in liquid communication and, preferably, wherein the vessels are concentrically disposed.</p> |
