The method involves using a presser punch to form visible marks on ceramic substrates. The substrates pass through a detector that sense the substrates in a processing station. An electronic control card receives information from the detector to determine which processing station has processed the substrates. The substrates pass through a recognition zone provided with cameras that capture the images of the substrates with marks. The captured images are processed by a computer which sends information to a production system which includes enameling, decoration and precut processing.
