A container has a rigid container body hermetically sealable by a cover with a handle. To stack two or more containers together, the container body forms support feet engageable to a depression formed on the top face of the cover. Samples for diagnosis are put into test tubes held within the container body. The test tubes may also be located in a probe holder and stored together with swabs in a plastic bag.
