An overheat prevention circuit for a battery pack is provided to prevent the battery pack from being exploded or burnt away by maintaining a temperature of the battery pack under a threshold value. An overheat prevention circuit for a battery pack includes a switch portion(10), a control module(20), a first temperature sensing element(30), and a second temperature sensing element(40). An input terminal of the switch portion is formed between a first terminal connected to a condenser and a second terminal connected to an external device. The switching portion receives a control signal for controlling charging/discharging processes of the condenser. The control module includes a discharge control signal output terminal and a charge control signal output portion. One side of the first temperature sensing element is connected to a discharge control signal input portion of the switching portion, while the other side thereof is connected to the discharge control signal output terminal of the control module. One side of the second temperature sensing element is connected to a charge control signal input portion of the switching portion, while the other side thereof is connected to the charge control signal output terminal of the control module.
