A hand machine tool striking mechanism unit comprises a beater unit 10a which can be driven by means of a piston 12a via a gas volume 14a, and has a striking mechanism parameter. The striking mechanism parameter is formed by a maximum beater surface measurement 16a to the power three divided by the beater unit mass 18a, and is greater than 200mm<3>/g. Preferably the striking mechanism parameter is also less than 2000mm<3>/g. |
