A solid image pickup device, a method for driving the solid image pickup device, and an image pickup device are provided to obtain a pixel addition signal having an excellent S/N(Signal/Noise) ratio because an addition process is performed while signals of pixels are amplified by performing pixel addition by using feedback capacitors of corresponding analog amplifiers in a column signal process circuit group having the analog amplifiers. A plurality of pixels including photoelectric conversion elements is two-dimensionally disposed in a pixel array unit(11). A plurality of vertical signal lines for transmitting signals from a plurality of the pixels is wired in the pixel array unit(11). A color filter having certain color coding is formed in a plurality of the pixels of the pixel array unit(11). A column signal process circuit group(13) has a plurality of analog amplifiers and a plurality of feedback capacitors. A plurality of the analog amplifiers receives the signals from a plurality of the pixels transmitted through a plurality of the vertical signal lines. A plurality of the feedback capacitors is suitably connected to a plurality of the analog amplifiers in parallel. When signals of pixels of the same color in one row in a unit pixel block including pixels of a certain number of the same color in row and column directions are read, the first control unit loads the signals of the pixels of the same color in the first feedback capacitor of one column in the column signal process circuit group(13). When signals of pixels of the same color in another row different from the one row in the unit pixel block are read, the second control unit precharges the signals loaded in the first feedback capacitor in the second feedback capacitor of another column different from the one column in the column signal process circuit group(13). The third control unit loads the signals of the pixels of the same color in the another row in the second feedback capacitor.
