An optical pickup device for recording/reproducing data on/from an optical disk. It comprises an optical pickup (17) fed in a radial direction of an optical disk (2) and used for writing or reading information signal on or from the rotating optical disk, and an flexible printed wiring board (45) one end (45a) of which is connected to the optical pickup and the other end (45d) of which is extended in the feeding direction of the optical pickup. The flexible printed wiring board has a folding portion (45g) folded to the bottom side of the optical pickup and a bending displacement portion (45h) for displacing the folding position depending on the feed operation of the optical pickup. In the folding portion, a slit (47) for escaping a projection (17b) projecting from the bottom surface of the optical pickup is provided.
