A method for preparing organohydrogensilane is provided to obtain RaSiHCl3-a as a final product with high yield by adequately selecting molar ratio of starting materials represented by SiHbCl4-b and RaSiCl4-a. The method is characterized in that it performs comproportionation reaction in accordance to the reaction formula(1) in the presence of at least one completely organo-substituted ammonium unit or phosphonium unit. In the formula(1), R is optionally halogen-substituted alkyl radical or alkaryl radical, a is 1, 2, or 3, each y and Z is 1, 2, 3 or 4, and b is 2, 3 or 4.
