An apparatus, in which solutions containing chlorine dioxide or an acid chlorite solution and which may contain chlorate ions but contain no phosphate or nitrate ions, is made of pure aluminium or a magnesium aluminium alloy containing up to 0.5 per cent of magnesium and which have been superficially eloxated.ALSO:Chlorine dioxide or acid chlorite solutions, which may contain chlorate ions but no phosphate or nitrate ions, are used in the bleaching of textiles and fibrous materials in apparatus made of pure aluminium, or a magnesium aluminium alloy containing up to 0.5 per cent of magnesium, which has been superficially oxidized by electrolytic treatment.ALSO:An aluminium alloy containing up to 0.5 per cent of magnesium is used in apparatus in which acid chlorite or chlorine dioxide solutions are treated. |
