An MFP(Multi Function Peripheral) for processing the proof printing of an E-mail and a method for processing the proof printing of the E-mail are provided to allow a user to confirm a received E-mail through the proof printing and determine whether to print contents of the received E-mail. An E-mail receiving unit(110) receives an E-mail. A proof printing data converting unit(120) converts a text message of the E-mail into printing data, and converts an attachment file of the E-mail into printing data of a thumbnail type. A printing unit(130) performs the proof printing of the printing data of the text message and the attachment file. An input unit(140) takes a printing command or a deleting command regarding the E-mail.
