A location information producer in a repeater for OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)/TDD(Time Division Duplex) and a method of a location based service using the same are provided to perform the location based service in a portable internet system using an OFDM/TDD communication method by transmitting after adding an identity number of the repeater to a guard sub-carrier of OFDM. In a location information producer for providing a location based service in a service area of a repeater of a portable Internet system using an OFDM/TDD communication method, the location based service is enabled by using a guard sub-carrier of OFDM and identity number information of the repeater.
