<p>The gas surge arrestor with central electrode is aimed at surge protection of both electronic and power systems, since by the selection of the gas mixture and depending on the corresponding pressure in the vacuum tight chamber the ignition voltage levels or surge currents, which produce a discharge between the central electrode (2) and the enclosure (1) of the central arrestor can be predefined. The gas arrestor with central electrode is made in such a way that through two circular glass insulators (4) there is a coaxial central molybdenum electrode (2), where the insulators (4) are with the help of rings (3) attached inside the pipe-like, metal enclosure (1), which limits space (6), which is at the same time a vacuum-tight chamber. On each end the electrode (2) is equipped with an attachment recess (5) for the supply cable. Inside the enclosure (1) a gas mixture is incapsulated into the space (6) of the vacuum-tight chamber of the arrestor, which depends on the required properties of the protected circuit and is determined in a known way.</p> |
