<p>Producing tubes by longitudinal heat sealing of an endless strip of polymer film, in which the edges of the film are melted and pressed together and the film is then cooled, formed into tubing and divided into tubes, comprises subjecting the tubing to heat treatment between cooling and division. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for carrying out a process as above, comprising a heating device (19), a pressing device (20), a cooling device (21) and a dividing device (70), with a heat treatment device (71) between the cooling device and the dividing device.</p> |
