A method for extracting a synchronization signal by using a mobile terminal in an RF repeater of a WiBro system is provided to simply construct an RF repeater circuit by determining a TX/RX switching point based on GPS time which a mobile terminal receives from a base station within a synchronous network. A link controller of an RF repeater receives synchronization time information transmitted from a mobile terminal(S101). The link controller analyzes the synchronization time information and determines a switching point(S103). The link controller transmits a switching control signal to switches according to the determined switching point(S105).
