Provided is an anti-hangover agent containing unripe red pepper extract as an effective ingredient, which has an effect of reducing blood alcohol concentration and can be taken by before or after drinking. A health supplementary food such as tea, jelly, juice, extract, drink and favorite food contains the anti-hangover agent. The anti-hangover agent contains: 2 to 100% by weight of unripe red pepper extract; 0.5 to 5% by weight of wood vinegar; and 0.5 to 10% by weight of garlic extract. The wood vinegar contains 2 to 4% by weight of acetic acid, 0.05 to 0.15% by weight of formic acid, 0.05 to 0.15% by weight of propionic acid, 1 to 3% by weight of mugwort components, 0.01 to 1% by weight of sodium acetate and 0.01 to 1% by weight of zinc sulfate. The unripe red pepper extract is obtained by the steps of; squeezing unripe red pepper and heating at 90 to 110deg.C, cooling at room temperature for 3 to 4hr to separate the liquid layer from the agglomerate; heating the liquid layer at 70 to 115deg.C; and filtering the condensate under reduced pressure. The health supplementary food contains 0.1 to 20% by weight of the anti-hangover agent. |
