PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING PROGRAM FRAGMENTS

A process and a system for sharing program fragments are provided to remove need for making a developer clearly represent a sharing intention and prevent two methods having the same functionality from residing in a memory during runtime. A code fragment database(526) stores multiple code fragments. A code server(524) receives a request for a program(508) and provides reference for the code fragments stored in the code fragment database. More than one of the code fragments is related to the requested program. The code server detects the same code fragment in more than one object. The code server downloads the program and updates the code fragment database according to the code fragment in the program. A developer I/O(Input/Output) module provides the new code fragment to the code server. The code server updates the new code fragment to the code fragment database.
