INDOOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER

An indoor unit of a split type air conditioner is provided to decrease noise and vibration, and to prevent breakage of parts by moving a vortex portion of a cross flow fan with forming a streamlined projection stabilizer and adjusting the position of the stabilizer and the diameter of the cross flow fan. An indoor unit(100) includes a cross flow fan(180) rotated and installed in the indoor unit to suck indoor air into the indoor unit, a heat exchanger(170) exchanging heat with air flowing into the indoor unit in turning the cross flow fan, a drain pan(160) collecting condensate from the heat exchanger and guiding flow direction of air from the cross flow fan with a stabilizer(162) protruded and placed near the cross flow fan, and an air guide(124) guiding flow of indoor air flowing into the indoor unit. The vertical distance from the proximity point of the stabilizer to the air guide divided by the diameter of the cross flow fan is 0.59 to 0.69. The streamlined profile is formed in the stabilizer.
