The amplifier includes a voltage/current converter to convert an audio-phonic signal received in the form of a voltage into a current. A coupling stage has a high impedance input and generates another current (I2) equal to the former current. A power stage amplifies the current (I2) to produce an amplified audio-phonic signal in the shape of a drive current for a loudspeaker.
