A rotary assembly for a portable terminal is provided to fix a portable terminal main body on the first rotary body and to fix an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) on the second rotary body, thereby easily rotating the LCD body combined in the second rotary body at an angle of 90 degrees or 180 degrees according to combination relationship between the first and second depressed grooves formed in the first and second rotary bodies and combination relationship between locking grooves and locking projections. A rotary assembly(100) comprises the followings: the first rotary body(110); the second rotary body(120); a parabolic spring(130); and a bushing(140). In the center of the first rotary body(110), the first through-hole is formed. In the circumference of the through hole, plural first depressed grooves are radially formed at equal intervals. In the circumference of the first depressed groove, a locking groove is formed as being spaced at a predetermined angle around the first through-hole. In the second rotary body(120), the second through-hole is formed in the center and plural second depressed grooves are formed so as to be combined with or separated from each first depressed groove of the first rotary body(110). In the circumference of one selected from the second depressed grooves, a locking projection is formed. The second rotary body(120) is capable of rotating in a predetermined direction on the first rotary body(110) until being contacted with the locking groove.
