<p>A method for improving a call reception rate of a mobile terminal is provided to reduce the frequency of call origination for re-connection to a packet zone by giving temporal restriction to the packet zone re-connection. A mobile terminal performs idle handoff from the first base station to the second base station according as a packet zone is changed in a dormant state of a 1x data service. When handoff from the first base station to the second base station accompanies packet zone re-connection, the mobile terminal performs idle handoff according to whether the sum of signal strength of the first base station, a threshold value, and delta is smaller than signal strength of the second base station.</p> |
