Dynamic mattress`s inflation pressure determining method for patient, involves estimating morphology of patient lying over mattress, and making correlation between pressure variation in mattress and pressure level to be applied to mattress

The method involves inflating cell assemblies of a mattress with same pressure, and measuring internal pressure of the mattress when a patient is lying over the mattress. One of the cell assemblies is deflated such that the patient lies on the other assemblies. Pressure increase in the latter cell assemblies is measured, and the pressure due to the presence of the body of the patient is determined. The morphology of the patient is estimated, and a correlation between the pressure variation and the pressure level to be applied to the mattress is made.
