<p>A hybrid OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system and a method thereof are provided to mitigate and equalize interference between cells by pseudo-randomly performing time-frequency hopping for a non-spread OFDMA subassembly in each cell. A hybrid OFDMA system(10) includes a transmitter(100), and a receiver(200). In the transmitter(100), a first spread OFDMA subassembly(130) maps spread data into a first sub-carrier group by spreading first input data for a first user group. A first non-spread OFDMA subassembly(140) maps second input data into a second sub-carrier group. A first common subassembly(150) transmits the first and second input data mapped into the first and second sub-carrier groups by using OFDMA. In the receiver(200), a second common subassembly(250) processes the received data, and restores the data mapped into the sub-carrier by using OFDMA. A second spread OFDMA subassembly(230) restores the first input data. A second non-spread OFDMA subassembly(240) restores the second input data.</p> |
