A waterproof system of a backfill part of a pier for a bridge in a soft ground is provided to protect the pier and the backfill part against river water in spite of the soft ground by detouring river water around the pier. A waterproof system includes an approach slab(20) placed in an approach slab seating sill(14) of a pier(10) fixed by plural anchors(40) buried in the approach slab seating sill, and installed in a lower part of a road; a waterproof wall(30) composed of a horizontal part(31), a vertical part(33) arranged vertically to the horizontal part and provided with a stepped part as high as the horizontal part of the pier and a curved part(34) connected to a rear end of the vertical part to shut off inflow of water to the backside of the pier and perpendicularly connected to the pier; and the anchors installed in the pier to mount the waterproof wall to the pier. The approach slab is integrally formed with the waterproof wall, and an insertion part is fitted to the approach slab seating sill. |
