<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst layer for a fuel cell capable of restraining degradation of components and piping constituting a fuel cell stack and system. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The manufacturing method of the catalyst layer for a fuel cell comprises an adhering process 1 of adhering an activity-deteriorating matter deteriorating catalyst activity by adhesion, and a coating process 3 of coating solution containing catalyst with the activity-deteriorating matter adhered and a solvent on a medium to be coated, (2) as well as a compounding process 2 of compounding the solution containing the catalyst with the activity-deteriorating matter adhered and the solvent, after the adhering process 1 and before the coating process 3, and (3) a removal process 5 of removing the activity-deteriorating matter from the catalyst after the solvent out of the coated solution is evaporated, after the coating process 3. (4) The compounding process 2 and the coating process 3 are carried out under an inert gas atmosphere.
