PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel for a microscope, in which the optimum adjustment of the height of an eye point is ensured with satisfactory operability. SOLUTION: A lens barrel main body 12 attachable/detachable to/from a microscope main body includes an afocal optical system composed of an imaging lens 13 and a relay lens 17 and used to form an afocal luminous flux perpendicular to a luminous flux from the microscope main body. In addition, a movable lens barrel 19 having an observation optical system for guiding the afocal luminous flux to an eyepiece lens 23 is disposed so as to be movable along the afocal luminous flux relative to the lens barrel main body 12.
