PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structure and low-cost microwave oven allowing the cooling of a controlling wiring board, a magnetron and a drive device by a single cooling fan. SOLUTION: This microwave oven has: a heating chamber 5 provided in an outer box 2, having a front face opening 6 of a size over a nearly whole area; and a door 10 provided such that the opening 6 is opened and closed. In the microwave oven, the lower part of a machine chamber 19 behind the heating chamber 5 is provided with the magnetron 20, the magnetron drive device 22 and the cooling fan 23 side by side, an air intake duct 30 extending from the bottom of the outer box 2 toward the machine chamber 19 is equipped, and the controlling wiring board 32 is provided in the air intake duct 30. Thereby, air taken in from the air intake duct 30 by the rotational drive of the cooling fan 23 cools the controlling wiring board 32, the magnetron drive device 22 and the magnetron 20.
