PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air cooling system capable of appropriate cooling adjustment according to an operation condition of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A turbo cooler 50 which consists of a compressor 7, an intercooler 8 and a turbine 9 is provided in a middle of an intake air line 3 of an engine 1. Flow rate characteristics of a turbine 9 is adjustably provided. Flow rate of the turbine 9 is adjusted based on the operation condition of the engine 1. Consequently, cooling level of the turbo cooler 50 can be controlled by adjusting expansion ratio of the turbine 9 to finely adjust intake air cooling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
