PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately notify a user whether an operating lever is at a neutral position by fully illuminating a key-insertion hole of a key cylinder and installing in simple way a driving power supply line for supplying a light source with driving power. SOLUTION: In the lever switch device for a vehicle, an LED 27 irradiating light with the key-insertion hole 31 of the key cylinder 30 roughly as an irradiation center with the operating lever 1 positioned at a neutral state is provided at a given site with its distance from the key cylinder 30 shorter than a distance between a column cover and the key cylinder 30. Further, two driving power supply lines 33a, 33b for supplying the LED 27 with driving power are installed in parallel with two lead wires 17a, 17b connected to a fixed contact of a fog lamp switch 10.
