PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium material hot rolling method by which flaws caused by the hot rolling, in particular, sticking flaw can be reduced. SOLUTION: The titanium material hot rolling method is characterized in that when heated titanium material is hot-rolled, the first pass rolling is performed at a temperature of≥750°C and a draft of > 8% without performing descaling before the rolling is started after the heating, then the heated titanium material is hot-rolled in a predetermined shape. Heated scale is uniformly depressed into the surface after the one pass rolling, and pressed into a base titanium. The adhesibility of heated scale is therefore increased, and the finely divided heated scales continuously remain in the surface even when the subsequent rolling is advanced, the sticking of a work to a rolling roll is suppressed and the flaw during the hot rolling can be reduced.
