PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode composition to generate a welding deposit that reduces risk of hydrogen cracking and has a high strength and/or a high impact strength. SOLUTION: The cored electrode is composed so as to generate the welding deposit with high strength by an electric arc welding method. The cored electrode is characterized in that the high strength deposit contains Fe and additionally 0.05-0.20 wt.% C, 1.4-2.4 wt.% Mn, 0.2-0.4 wt.% Si, 2.3-5.4 wt.% Ni, 0.6-1.0 wt.% Cr, and 0.25-1.10 wt.% Mo.
