MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST EPIDERMAL GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR AND HYBRIDOMA CELL LINE PRODUCING THE SAME

A monoclonal antibody against the epidermal growth factor(EGF) receptor and a hybridoma cell line producing the same monoclonal antibody are provided to inhibit activity of EGF receptor by specifically binding with the overexpressed EGF receptor in tumor or cancer cells, so that growth of tumor cells is inhibited. The monoclonal antibody against the epidermal growth factor(EGF) receptor comprises the heavy chain variable region(V_H) having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 and the light chain variable region(V_L) having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:2. A gene encoding the monoclonal antibody against the epidermal growth factor(EGF) receptor comprises the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:3 encoding the heavy chain variable region(V_H) and the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:4 encoding the light chain variable region(V_L). The monoclonal antibody against the epidermal growth factor(EGF) receptor A431-96 is produced from the hybridoma cell line A431-96(KCLRF-BP-00114).
