A search engine for multimedia content information is provided to efficiently search the multimedia content information in an NMT(Netsync Music Tunes) solution, which automatically transfers multimedia contents to a multimedia player from a website offering the multimedia contents with one click, by collecting the multimedia content information from many websites. A multimedia content information search engine comprises an incremental indexer, a searcher, a converter, and an index database. The incremental indexer generates the index database by reading the contents generated from the converter. A function of the incremental indexer performs index extraction, weight assignment, and incremental indexing. An index extracting function provides an indexing technique for extracting the index by using a sentence pattern without using a morpheme analysis technique to prevent an incorrect search result for a query. The weight assignment provides basis for correct content search fit for the query by assigning weight to the index to calculate similarity in the search.
