An automatic recycling water softening apparatus and a method thereof are provided to install separately an automatic recycling line and to use a valve for selectively opening/closing the automatic recycling line. A water softening box(130) is installed between a water softening line(110) for connecting a fitting(10) with a shower device(20) and includes the ion exchange resin. A recycling box(162) is connected to an inlet side of the recycling box so that the water softening box is recycled as the occasional demands. An end of an automatic recycling line(180) is connected to the water resource connected to the fitting and the other end thereof is connected to an inlet of an recycling box. An automatic recycling valve(182) turns on/off selectively the automatic recycling line.
