<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system for an outboard motor applicable to a fuel tank built-in type small size outboard motor and to secure good startability. <P>SOLUTION: A four cycle engine 2 provided with a recoil type engine start device 29, an engine cover 3 covering a perimeter of the engine 2, and the fuel tank 41 are provided. The engine 2 is provided with a high pressure fuel pump 51 and an injector 55. A fuel inlet port 53 of the high pressure fuel pump 51 is provided at a position lower than a fuel delivery port 44 of the fuel tank 44 under a normal engine 2 operation condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
