PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asphalt composition having high softening point, penetration rate, elongation and cohesive power and excellent processability. SOLUTION: The asphalt composition contains 100 pts.wt. of asphalt and 0.5-25 pts.wt. of a block copolymer having an A-B-A structure composed of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene (B is conjugated diene block), having a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon content [S] of 15-25 wt.% and a peak molecular weight [M] of 20-40 (unit: 10<SP>4</SP>), satisfying the formula 3[S]≤[M]+40 and having a linear structure.
