PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support shaft capable of fixing a core on the centerline stably in a short period of time and, even if the process accuracy is low of the inside circumferential surface of the core and the outside circumferential surface of the support shaft. SOLUTION: A core support shaft 1 in a motor winding machine is provided with a support shaft body 2 of almost cylindrical shape, on which a recessed portion and through holes in the radial direction from this recessed portion to the outside circumference surface are formed in the circumferential direction at equal intervals, a cam 4, which is fitted into the recessed portion so as to be movable up and down and is tapered toward the downward direction of the outside circumference, and a rotating body 5, which is loaded into each through hole and which heads for the outside circumferential surface of the body as the tapered portion moves downward.
